It is with profound humility and a deep sense of honor that I address you today as the 6th President of the Morris Brown College DeKalb Alumni Association, Inc. This moment marks not just a new chapter for me, but for our entire organization. I am truly privileged to be entrusted with the leadership of this remarkable group as we continue our vital work.

My vision for this administration is built on a foundation of clear and ambitious goals. First, we must elevate our support for Morris Brown College—both physically and financially—to unprecedented levels. Second, it is our duty to cultivate and mentor the next generation of leaders who will carry our legacy forward. And finally, we will actively work to strengthen the relationships that bind us, both across the university and within our cherished alumni family.

I am confident that together, our collective efforts will help MBC elevate to even greater heights. We must all play a part in this journey. If you have not yet become involved, I urge you to do so now—both at the national level and right here in our local chapter. As we seek to grow this association, I challenge each of you to embrace our simple yet powerful call to action: "each one, recruit one." By bringing new energy and renewed commitment to our DeKalb Chapter, we will directly contribute to the sustainability and future success of our beloved Morris Brown College. Our support is not merely an option—it is an absolute necessity.

Let us continue to stand as a testament to hard work and dedication, and forever be known as: “The Working Chapter Still Doing the Work.”

In Service, Timothy Kenney Class of ’02 President, DeKalb Chapter
